The Swimming Pool is located in Bad Wurzach, in South Germany. The primary objective is to create a simple, compact floor plan, while heightening the visual connection to the surrounding landscape. Its unique aluminium facade is an innovative component of the project, contrasting with the immediate green backdrop, yet blending the volume perfectly into the greater surrounding panorama. The facade’s dynamic apertures achieve a balance between natural light and shadow, creating varied impressions throughout the seasons, as well as an optimal use of sunlight. A sinuous, high-performance acoustical ceiling not only enhances the entrance sequence, but also forms a welcoming and efficient space.
