Final stretch on the construction site in Ilmenau. Remaining work is under high pressure to be ready for the coming swimming season in autumn 2020.
The new building is a sport-oriented pool with a 25m pool, attached diving pool, teaching pool and children’s pool.
Construction began in early 2018. Already in the construction phase, the roof structure with its curved, up to 20 m long glued wood beams caused astonishment. Shortly before the opening, the impressing acoustic ceiling with over 12,000 timber slats is nearing completion.
