Health Hotel
Vladimir, Russia

The Vladimir Health Hotel is a newly revitalized complex set within a landscape of exceptional cultural value, adjacent to the 12th–13th century Svyato Uspenskiy Cathedral and the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve. The hotel occupies a preserved brick structure whose historic character is highlighted through refined detailing, while a transparent glass entrance subtly marks the transition into the contemporary interior. Public areas including the reception, lobby, and restaurant occupy the ground floor, with spacious guest rooms above—all oriented to capture sweeping views of meadows and forests. A setback penthouse completes the building, its sculpted roofline and curved brick elements echoing the rhythm and softness of the surrounding historic architecture.

Complementing the hotel, the new Vladimir Health Center forms a tranquil medical retreat shaped by its dramatic, green terrain. Designed as a seamless extension of the landscape, the building presents a rhythmic interplay of brick arches, slender structural modules, and generous glass openings that connect health and wellness spaces to nature. Wellness areas open directly to the hillside and an indoor–outdoor pool, while skylights create the sense of looking up through a forest canopy. A timber-clad accommodation house and a light, pavilion-like living space complete the ensemble, which harmonizes architectural influences from the 12th to the 21st century to create a serene urban sanatorium where nature and built form are beautifully intertwined.
